Bead Knotting
$35 class fee
This technique is often used to knot pearls in the traditional style.  Learn this accurate way of knotting between beads. Knots can protect delicate pearls or separate beads for a spectacular floating look.   This technique can be applied to many type of stringing materials: silk, satin cord, leather, ribbon and more.  Blue Frog Beads carries a wide variety of stringing materials.  Class is 1 hour.  Participants are welcome to stay after class during normal business hours to work on a project of choice.

Spiral Rope Bracelet

Make a seashell-like bracelet either delicate & lacy or big & bold, depending on the beads you choose. You will not be able to complete the piece in the 2-hour class time.  Finishing and attaching a clasp are covered during the class.   Also, you can come back to the store for assistance if you have trouble finishing the project on your own.  We are always happy to help.

Victorian Braid
$30 class fee includes strining materials only, beads of choice sold separately
It is hard to believe how easy this sinuous bracelet is!  This is an introductory class using Czech Fire Polish glass beads and seed beads.  You should be able to finish the entire bracelent by the end of this 2 hour class.  You may want to visit the store prior to the class to choose your beads.  This allows you to get started right away and finish the piece in the two hour class time.

Flat Gourd
$35 Class fee includes stringing materials only, beads of choice sold separately
Using the same technique used by Native Americans and ancient cultures, this makes up a flat, cuff-like bracelet.  Finishing and attaching a clasp are covered in the class.  Workshop fee includes strining materials.  Beads of choice can be purchased at the time of the class.  It is often nice to visit the store prior to the class to preview beads so that class time can focus on learning the technique and not on choosing bead colors.

Jewelry Projects

Silver Art Clay 
$70 Class includes 10 grams of art silver
Create a sterling silver pendant with silver art clay that you can take home after the class. This is an introductory class and needs no prior experience with the material.  Class participants will have a choice of 20 different molds from floral themes to dragons.  Participants will learn how to work with the clay and how to file it to create a professional look.  You will then torch your own piece and apply a patina finish if you choose.  Class fee includes 10 grams of art silver and all materials needed.  Stop by the store to see examples in our class sample case.  This class is appropriate for middle school through adult. 

Chakra Bracelet
$50 Workshop includes all materials except clasp 
Create a chakra bracelet as you explore the seven chakra and how you can better understand yourself by examining the energies within you. We will explain which stones represent each chakra. You will create a bracelet that will assist you to remember and focus the energies of each center to help you achieve your highest physical and mental powers of well being. Workshop fee includes all materials except clasp.

Embellished Pendant
$30 Workshop fee includes stringing materials, beads of choice sold separately
Embellish a top drilled pendant with a froth of small beads and pearls, then finish off as a necklace. Bring your beads with tiny, tiny holes. Findings and cord included.

Collage Necklace
$30 Workshop fee includes stinging materials, beads of choice sold separately
Choose from a variety of beads and trinkets to create a waterfall style necklace.  This technique uses seed beads or small stone beads to create the necklace with a front toggle.  Waxed linen is then used to create a collage of beads hanging from the toggle.  This works up very personal, one-of-a-kind piece that even beginners can achieve in this workshop.  This is a 2-hour workshop.  Participants can bring in their own momentos or purchase all materials from Blue Frog.
